South Cards Cup - Felinfach 7 v 1 Aberporth Res

Felinfach eased into the last eight of the South Cards Cup with a comfortable victory over third division outfit Aberporth Reserves. In truth Felinfach never really needed to find top gear for this encounter but still managed to score some well worked goals.

Liam Jones got the home side off to a flyer after 5 minutes firing high into the roof of the net from 8 yards out. Jonnie Davies then got himself into some good positions in the box to bag himself a fine brace to go in at half time comfortably 3-0 up. A number of positional changes perhaps unsettled Felinfach for the first 15 minutes of the second half but they still managed to go 4-0 up when Gareth Evans got on the end of a long ball to make the game safe. Richard Brennan then got the fifth before he switched roles with keeper Sean "Teddy" Thomas who clearly enjoyed the last 15 minutes by twice finishing well from the edge of the box to make the final score 7-1.

All in all a decent all round team performance that will be good for confidence especially for the youngsters who all got on the scoresheet today. |
